The City of Mississauga has introduced a new bylaw to help curb the tactics of some realtors who leave their open house signs out from Thursday to Monday for an open house that lasts 2 hours on a Sunday. It was getting to be ridiculous with the number of signs in some cases 10-15 signs for one property.

There are currently 802 detached homes on the market in Mississauga, compared to the under 200 homes we had in the early part of the year when the market was extremely hot. In the peak we had 2 weeks of available inventory and the average time to sell was around 7 days.

Since my last update 44 new homes have come on the mls listing service. The average list price of those properties is about $1,400,000

In the same time frame 21 homes have sold, rangeing in price from $600,000 to over $2,300,000 with the aveage sale price being $1,137,000

April 2017 Real Estate Market Update

In April 2017 the number of homes sold was down from the year before. by 386 units, and was down 447 from March of this year.

There are currently 504 detached homes on the market in Mississauga. This is up a lot from the early part of the year where less than 200 homes were for sale in the City.

There are currently 397 freehold properties for sale in Mississauga. Of these 278 are detached homes. The number of listings is up dramatically since earlier in the year when we had less than 200 homes on the market.
