April 2017 Real Estate Market Update

In April 2017 the number of homes sold was down from the year before. by 386 units, and was down 447 from March of this year. 

Everybody is asking what is happening with real estate prices. Well in April they went up $181,029 over last year. and up about $4,000 from March of this year. It will be interesting to see what happens in May.

In April the average time to sell was down 40% from the year before which is 2.5% lower than March this year.

In April in the 905 area code 5,715 detached homes were sold, beating out the 6 where 1,268 detached homes sold.

So far this year 36,822 units have been sold compared to 34,498 last year.

The average price of a property in the GTA (includes condos, detached, semi-detached and townhouses) is $870,800 compared to last year which was $685,000
The increase sales means an increased dollar volume was over 8.4 billion dollars.
