Homes for Sale In Lorne Park with Swimming Pools

It's the time of year when home owners start to think about how they will spend their summertime. Having a swimming pool in your back yard is a great way to enhance the value of your home, both in return on investment, and from an entertainment value perspective.


Having a pool in your back yard is a great way to enjoy family time together, relax, host parties and get some exercise. Lorne Park has a high ratio of homes with pools, most of them being in-ground swimming pools. Currently of the 75 homes for sale, 25 of them have pools.


If you are weighting the pros and cons of putting in a pool in your own backyard vs buying a  home with a pool already installed here are a few things to consider.
It will cost you more money to put in a pool than to buy a resale home with a pool if you do any sort of significant landscaping. 


You will be able to get the exact pool you want it you start from scratch provided you have the space to do what you want. Don't forget you'll probably want to add some sort of cabana for changing, maybe a wet bar with a fridge.  But you won't get all that money back when you sell. Not so bad if you plan on staying for quite a few years. If you think you may move anyway in a 3-5 year range it's better to consider buying a home with an inground pool.


If you buy resale you can pick and choose from the homes that come on the market and look for the size of pool you want. Also you will be able to consider exposure which is something a lot of people don't think about until after they have pool installed. In Lorne Park if your backyard faces west you will get sun in the afternoon and into the early evening. This is advantageous for enjoying the pool on days that it would be too chilly if it were shady.
